Chris Thomas King will perform and narrate the blues origins at ‘Big Blues Bender’ in Las Vegas Saturday, September 10

From Africa to the fields of the Deep South, to Congo Square and the brothels of Storyville in New Orleans, from the Mississippi Delta to Chicago, across the Atlantic to post-war England, and back again, The Blues is a living, breathing, and traveling force. It is the root of all American music, and its influence can be heard in nearly all popular music since the late 1800s.

Join us as musician, actor, and Blues historian Chris Thomas King leads us on a multimedia experience tracing the Journey of the Blues, with stops in New Orleans, the Delta, Chicago, London, and all points in between.

The Bender Brass Band, led by Jimmy Carpenter, will bring the story to life, with special guests John Primer and his band, Tinsley Ellis, Bob Margolin, Jason Ricci, Terrie Odabi, King Solomon Hicks, Steve Marriner, Carly Harvey, Dave Keyes and more.
