O Brother 25th anniversary tour
Recently, on Halloween, 2024, bluegrass star Billy Strings hosted O Billy, Where Art Thou, paying tribute to the film and music soundtrack that inspired him as a child prodigy. It was a night to remember for over 20,000 adoring fans jammed into CFG Bank Arena in Baltimore on October 31, 2024.
Chris Thomas King performed with Billy String's “Hard Time Killing Floor Blues” for the movie and debuted a new song written by King for the event titled “Gravedigger Gonna Cut You Down.” Famed producer T-Bone Burnett and O Brother star Tim Blake Nelson also made appearances along with several of Nashville’s finest including dobro extraordinaire Jerry Douglas.
Chris Thomas King was invited back to CFG Bank Arena the following night November 1, as Billy's special guest. On the second night King played accompanying harmonica along with Billy’s band and sang his bluegrass favorite “John Law Burned Down the Liquor Sto’” with Billy Strings.
